Bring spring motifs and color to the home with seasonal sewing and quilting projects.
Spring fabrics are already arriving in stores. These are the perfect antidote to the winter blahs. Spring sewing projects are sure to lift your spirits.
This season offers various motifs, such as tulips and other flowers, bunnies and Easter eggs.
After looking at dirty piles of snow, the spring color palette is so refreshing. Pastels are often associated with this season. Greens, pinks, blues and soft yellows are some examples.
All sorts of sewing and quilting quilt projects can bring spring indoors. Door banners, wall hangings and miniature quilts are ideal. Stuffed bunnies and bowls of fabric Easter eggs add a seasonal touch.
For cold evenings, a spring lap quilt brings a touch of beauty and warmth. Make some matching throw pillows as well.
Transform a breakfast nook or dining table with seasonal projects, including placemats or table runners. Assuming there’s time, make matching chair covers to slip over the tops of the dining chairs.
Spring patterns can be found in fabric stores as well as books and magazines. Here are just a few ideas.
