Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is Kate and I am the new Feature Writer for the Sewing and Needlework section at Suite101.

So what does that mean? Well, with my writing colleagues, our aim is to provide top quality information about all things sewing and needlework related. My personal goal is to ensure that we keep expanding and developing the Suite101 Sewing and Needlework site and producing a top quality resource for needle-crafters of all backgrounds and experience. We will cover the total spectrum of Sewing and Needlework crafts – including quilting, cross stitch, embroidery, weaving etc and of course the sewing of clothes, accessories and soft furnishings. We'll look at the traditional aspects of the craft as well as exploring new and innovative trends ensuring that there is plenty to read for everyone. To do this we will provide regular, interesting and informative articles, hints and tips, projects and of course links to excellent resources which we have found on the internet that we want to share with you.

To ensure that the site continues to provide interesting and informative articles, I'd really welcome your input!
