Travel wallets and bags are an essential part of holiday packing. These can easily be sewn at home and a variety of free patterns are available on the internet.

Holidays are now upon us, however there is still time to make some useful travel bags and accessories.

One great fear when traveling is losing a passport or driving license. Not just because of the immediate problems, but also with the ongoing worries and hassles of getting replacements.

Travel bags and wallets are an extremely useful accessory to have when going on holiday – and if you make your own you can customize the bag with as many handy pockets and pouches as you require. Also, when making your own you can make the bag as quietly unobtrusive or as funkily bright and cheery as you like, and as matches your mood (and fabric stash!).

There are many free patterns on the internet for travel bags and wallets – and of course it is easy to customize a favorite pattern by adding a few hidden pockets.
